Last I checked (Sat. 24, 2008 8:14 pm) Berny posted three new posts under "The Theory of Relativity." One of them was in response to Bill and the other two in response to Erick. There may be some newer ones elsewhere. I will ask Freddy to see if he can post a (recent comments) section somewhere on the side bar. In the mean time you can read those posts and anyone wishing to continue any of the strands can do so here if he or she don't want to keep scrolling through searching for recent comments, or they can add a new topic.
Excellent and enlightening discussions guys. Thank you for your time.
May the Lord speak to us through what He's taught us so that we may see Him more and more for who He is, as opposed to who we want Him to be.
Remy.

All right guys. Now I know that I have not been showing my face here lately, but it is because I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the answers of all these philosophers and theologians present. =D You guys are great. I really wish I could give a thoughtful response but I have yet to read all the posts and comments. I have not had a lot of time.
I just wanted to write back and explain that I am reading all this stuff...Bill, wow...and I mean WOW! I had to read your replies a million and half times to try and grasp it. You guys have been helpful, but I was really wondering how I could even begin to present this information to my coworker. The idea is a soul...not an intellectual discussion. I really don't mean to be rude guys and I apologize if I came off that way. I really do...
I pose a challenge. Could you post a response as if you were talking to my friend himself. I know the conversation would be limited but imagine that a soul hung in the balance and intellectual arguments just made it more complicated for God's love to be seen...What would you say to him?
Erick, I know I have not exactly addressed your concern on how to witness your faith in Jesus Christ to your co-worker. But really, what more can be added to such great answers by Bill, Berny, and Remy.
Oddly enough, as I was reading your latest challenge, I was reminded of how I am in the exact same situation myself. I have a co-worker who I have spoken to twice about my faith in Christ. The opportunities have been rare, but I was deeply encouraged when the Lord brought those opportunities about. As I read Bill and Berny's response I saw the balance that is very much needed. In other words, we need to be Christ-like and at the same time be ready to give an apologetic. With my co-worker, the times to give an apologetic have come along twice, as I mentioned earlier, in about a year and a half. Everyday I go to work I must depend completely on Christ to live His divine life in me so that when those windows of opportunity come they have so much more meaning and weight. There is nothing worse than a believer giving a verbal apologetic while not applying what he/she believes. My encouragement to you is to continue to build that relationship as the Lord allows. He will bring about those opportunities as you continue to remain faithful. Allow Christ to live His life in you and through you. You have planted the seed and maybe even watered, but He will give the increase. Keep praying for him. Learn how to think to think and remember that some people need an intellectual response while others are just looking to see if the Christian life is truly livable.
Be encouraged my brother in Christ and I look forward to meeting you.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Freddy
